Thing of the Week - Whee, Bang, Whizz

As part of the launch of 50 Things in Southwark, we are focusing on 1 of the 50 activities in this amazing app. Next is ‘Whee, Bang, Whizz’.

This activity all about the fireworks - colourful, noisy and exciting! Whether you are enjoying them on Bonfire Night or during a celebration such as a wedding or the New Year, fireworks provide an opportunity to use lots of new words to describe the different colours and sounds. For example, bright, glittering, bang and wheee!

Remember - children and young people should be supervised and enjoy fireworks at a safe distance following the Fireworks Safety Code.
