Jungle explorations

Our nursery babies have been excitedly exploring nature. After reading some jungle themed books, they have been pretending to walk in the jungle in their room, in our nursery garden and in Burgess Park. They have also visited Forest School, enjoying spotting so many different creatures, seeing the pond, and looking at the swan that had laid some eggs.

It was a delight to walk through, feel and take in the smell of nature. The children have been so inspired that they are now trying to create a jungle in their nursery room! We would welcome any ideas or materials to help the children continue creating their indoor jungle.

To further promote the children’s interest in nature, we have also provided sensory experiences with playdough by adding rosemary, lavender and cardamom.
