Are you magnetic?

Our nursery children have been interested in building magnetic structures and have been talking a lot about how tall different objects are. They have even been looking at themselves to see how tall they are!

To combine these two interests, we have given the children different types of magnets and a tray of objects to test what is and is not magnetic. The children took their explorations further, testing different things indoors and outdoors including a visit to the park. The children also used measuring tapes and rulers to discover the length of a variety of materials including different sticks and twigs they collected from the park.
