Construction time for our under 3s

Well done to our under 3's who have been busy exploring the construction area at nursery. Using different wooden blocks to create their own structures, the children have developed, adapted and modified their creations. They have used a variety of materials and resources including cars, animals and dinosaurs, which they have stood around the blocks.

Block play is a great way to support your child’s development. Children can explore simple mathematical and scientific concepts like counting, balance, cause and effect, and symmetry. Why not try extending your child’s learning experience at home with some block play? Simply give your child different objects such as boxes and tubes, and watch their imagination take flight. You could also encourage your child to collect natural materials to add to their play.
