Turn a disused building into a community and social space

In partnership with Pembroke House and community partners, Notting Hill Genesis is trying to raise funds to turn a disused building on the Aylesbury Estate into a community kitchen and social pantry with space for youth and community provision. It would also be used as a base for the Walworth food hub.

With food insecurity being a significant issue on the Aylesbury estate, worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, the project would play an important role in supporting local residents.

Low income households would be able to access healthy and affordable food, community groups would have access to a kitchen and growing space, and residents could come together and reconnect as part of a youth and community hub.
