1st Place nurseries to reopen from 1 June

In line with Government guidance, 1st Place will be reopening its nurseries on a phased basis from 1 June 2020.

To support front line workers and those families in need of additional help during the COVID-19 situation, our Chumleigh Gardens site remained opened for children of key workers and vulnerable children. This will continue but from 1 June, our other existing nursery children will also be able to attend.

1st Place at Cambridge House will reopen from 1 June followed by 1st Place at Lorrimore Square on 15 June. Children from our Lorrimore Square site will, however, be able to attend 1st Place at Chumleigh Gardens on a temporary basis.

The welfare and safety of our children, families and staff is paramount and using the Government’s ‘Five Steps to Safer Working Together’ guidelines, we have taken all reasonable actions to protect our families and our staff, and to manage the risk of this virus.

In anticipation of welcoming back more children to nursery, a range of protective measures have been put in place including new ways of working and a reconfiguration of our nursery space. We will be maintaining as much social distancing as is possible with children of this age, and will be working with parents to support our children during this transitional period.

We would like to reassure our families, staff and our local community that we take their welfare and safety incredibly seriously, and will continue to follow government guidance. We appreciate that this is a challenging time and many families will feel anxious or worried about what the future may hold.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing Director@1stplace.uk.com. Useful links for additional advice and support can also be found in ‘The Hub’ section of our website.
