Make your own cardboard teddy
Carrying on our ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ theme, follow this fun activity to make your own cardboard teddy.
What you will need:
A cardboard tube.
Paint or coloured paper.
Scissors.
Glue or sticky tape.
Colouring pens.
Other craft materials to decorate your teddy (optional)
Getting Started:
Paint your cardboard tube, which will become your teddy’s body. Alternatively, you can cover it in coloured paper (we used brown paper for our teddies).
Use a pen and a piece of paper to create your teddy’s head by drawing around a lid or small round object. (Alternatively, you can simply draw a face directly onto your teddy’s body).
Carefully cut out your teddy’s head.
Add facial features with a pen. Feel free to use any additional craft materials you may have such as googly eyes.
Draw around two smaller round objects to create your teddy’s ears. Carefully cut them out and attach them to your teddy’s head with glue or sticky tape.
Attach your teddy’s head to its body with glue or sticky tape.
Create oval shapes for your teddy’s paws and use a pen to decorate them.
Cut out your teddy’s paws and attach them to your teddy’s body with glue or sticky tape.
You now have a cardboard teddy - enjoy!
