Thing of the Week - Wonderful Waiting Games

As part of the launch of 50 Things in Southwark, we are focusing on 1 of the 50 activities in this amazing app. Next is ‘Wonderful Waiting Games’

Waiting for a bus, train or an appointment can be boring for children , playing some simple games to pass the time will not only keep them entertained but will help to extend your child’s vocabulary at the same time.

Talk about what you see and listen for sounds around you, you could try a game like peek-a-boo for babies and younger children, I spy is a great guessing game for older children or perhaps sing a nursery song or rhyme.
