Enjoying the theatre and sensory play

Our nursery children have been showing a lot of interest in theatre play, using materials and objects to create their own play. They have enjoyed role-playing in small groups and creating small performances for their peers and staff.

To extend the children’s sensory experience, we have been offering them a variety of materials and objects to manipulate when they are using paint and play dough. We have also been offering a range of outdoor activities to encourage our younger children to explore movement such as rolling, balancing and jumping.
