Creating botanical art

At 1st Place at Lorrimore Square, we havebeen excitedly exploring a fun and easy way to create botanical prints onfabric.

As part of a special project, a group of our children have been looking at what happens when we use stones to pound flowers and leaves against fabric. The children have discovered that the flowers dye the material, leaving a wonderful, colourful imprint behind.

The children will be continuing their explorations over the next few weeks so if you have any old flowers and unwanted white sheets or t-shirts, then please bring them to the nursery.
