Childhood Trust's Champions for Children match funding campaign – Alexandra Rose Charity

All donations doubled until the 21st of June

During this campaign all donations to our partners the Alexandra Rose Charity will be doubled, the campaign runs from the 14th June until 12PM on Tuesday 21st June.

This year Alexandra Rose’s fundraising campaign is raising funds for the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project to help support families impacted by the cost-of-living crisis. Recent research from the Food Foundation showed a 57% increase in the number of households cutting back on food or missing meals in the last three months. No family should have to go without food; this is not just a cost-of-living crisis but a health crisis that could have a lifelong impact. 

The goal is to raise £20,000, which the match funders will double.

What is the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project?

The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project helps families on low incomes to buy fresh fruit and vegetables and supports them to give their children the healthiest possible start.

 The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project gives vouchers every week to low income families with children under 5, to exchange for free fresh fruit and vegetables from local markets.

 1st Place is the lead partner for the Rose Vouchers Project in Southwark, we have registered 1344 families since we first started with the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark, and have given out more than 400,000 Rose Vouchers.
